Mr. Gordon Haskins holds the position of the CEO and Chairman of the Management Board at Al Hilal Bank Kazakhstan (AHBK), having joined AHBK in November 2016. With over 30 years of experience in banking and law, Mr. Haskins brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Before joining AHBK, he held the position of Country Executive, Chairman of the Management Board, and member of the Board of Directors at RBS Kazakhstan for three years leading up to its sale by RBS Group in 2016. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the DCM & derivatives business in the EMEA region. Gordon's tenure with RBS Group spanned 13 years, during which he also held positions as Managing Director in regulatory developments and Head of Transaction Execution in the Secured Corporate Debt business. Beginning his career as a lawyer, Gordon worked for nearly 12 years in both London (with Clifford Chance) and Canada (with Davis & Co, now DLA Piper). He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from the University of British Columbia (1987) and a law degree from the University of Toronto (1991).
