Shariyah Review Bureau (SRB) is a Shariah consulting firm based in Bahrain. The company works with financial institutions on Shariah compliance issues and serves as a single global partner in the field of Islamic finance.
SRB supports clients in establishing Shariah boards, administering certification, and providing internal Shariah audit services. The company is accredited according to the international standard ISAE 3000.
Geography of activities
The Bureau has a research presence in more than 21 countries , including the United States, Europe, Africa, the Gulf States, and Asia. SRB services are available to financial institutions worldwide, ranging from executive management consulting to internal audit and independent external Shariah-compliant audit.

As part of the cooperation, Sharia Review Bureau
is responsible for:
creation of the Sharia Council,
conducting continuous Shariah certification,
Sharia audit (AAOIFI, GISIF No. 2).
Board on Principles of Islamic Financing
Board on Principles of Islamic Financing plays a key role in ensuring Shariah compliance in the operations of “Kazakhstan Ijara Company” JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Company). The Council oversees the compliance of all the Company’s operations and internal processes with Islamic finance requirements.
The Council’s powers include:
interpretation and definition of Sharia principles applicable to the Company’s activities;
control and verification of the Company’s activities for compliance with Sharia requirements;
ensuring compliance with Shariah standards in all transactions concluded by the Company;
issuance of relevant certificates, permits and opinions;
providing opinions on the financial policies and internal documents of the Company in order to confirm their compliance with the principles of Islamic finance;
advising shareholders, the Board of Directors and the Company’s management on Sharia compliance issues;
approving Shariah policies and procedures and accepting responsibility for all Shariah decisions made during the term of office.
The Board’s consistent and measured approach to fulfilling its functions ensures the Company’s strict compliance with Sharia principles and strengthens the trust of clients, partners, and regulators.
